Having captained and crewed many boats in my 15 years of professional experience, I’ve loved sailing in the Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic twice and crewing many other long deliveries, racing inshore and offshore, learning from expert sailors, and striving to further enhance my seamanship. In addition to holding a USCG-endorsed 100-ton captain's license, I have engineering and safety-at-sea credentials, and my sailing background and prior work as a literature teacher have helped me develop good communication and team-building skills essential for enjoyable times on the water.
